Workshop2: Choosing a Major

Michael Tran and I attended the Workshop called, Choosing a Major today too, after attending the 1st workshop.

This workshop gave us advice, myths, facts, and ways of choosing a major or concentration.

During the workshop, we are told about how activities we enjoyed as a child, personality, values, skills/ abilities, and interests/ passions, can help affect our decision.

1 of the papers we received describes the 6 groups of careers(Realistic, Conventional, Investigative, Enterprising, Social, and Artistic) there are and what careers relate to each.

I always feel that whatever major i choose, I will "determine my future career path forever". My current major wasn't actually my decision, and with this workshop, it helped informed me of ways to help myself decide, and stating that about "80% of workers in the US are in a field not related to their college major and switched their major at least once.

Workshop1: Stressin' Out

Michael Tran and I attended the Workshop called, Stressin' Out today (10/27).

The workshop was from 12:00pm-1:00pm, it talked about the different kid of stresses there are, how to relax, and places on campus that can help you with your stress.

They identified the different causes of stress, like eating more/less, less sleep, or chest pain.

Places we can go on campus to get help deal with stress are like the health office and the guidance counselor office.

Also, some techniques they mention that can help relieve stress are aromatherapy, meditation, and breathing.

What i gained was the knowledge of the affects of stress on myself, where i can go for help, and some techniques to reduces it because I've been stressing on my academic English since if i don't pass the finals with 8 or higher than I'll be kick out of SJSU and have to start over at a community college

10/26-Monday's Blog

Today i wasn't paying attention much in class and i keep falling asleep a bit in most of my class, since I'm still a bit sick and tired, all thanks to my brother who coughed in my face.

I could improve: time managing, selecting a study place with low distractions, reviewing course material, increasing my interest on an assignment, and over learning.

LeWorksStudios: Current Upcomming Vid Status + New Vid Idea

The Halloween themed video is slowly being done; the 1st half is already filmed and being edited, while the 2nd half needs to be re-done since my envisioned ending had to be changed, so it will be re-filmed tomorrow. I still haven't made up a title for it yet, but it should be completed around this weekend.

Also got a new vid idea, which is a live action parody sort of thing on the board game CLUE, after thinking back on last weekend how my cousins, bro, & I played CLUE.

LeWorksStudios: Gots New New Idea for Halloween Themed Video

Today when going to the bathroom during MUSE class i got a Halloween themed video idea, and when i came back to class I wrote out a rough summary of how the whole video would play out, while either the dialogue will be improvised or I'll write it out before the weekend.

Since it seems that its gonna be interesting making this new video, I'll actually try start to start it as soon as possible, like this Friday or Saturday. Instead off putting it off like, the Death Note parody i was gonna do, or the Lethal Agent sequel (Lethal Agents 2) script I almost finished but stopped working on it for months now.

the class i stay in tuned the most is finite math & 2nd would be academic English. Since in finite math we take notes everyday, this makes it easier to stay focus in class. While in Academic English, there's always lectures and often I would get sleepy if it gets long and boring, except when there's in-class exercises to be done.

It's noticeable when a teacher stress on important concepts because he/she would either say so or use a different tone in his/her voice.

Behind LeWorksStudios (100+ word blog)

My youtube channel / account is LeWorksStudios and it's shared with my brother and cousins, whom you may have seen in most of our videos. About all the videos are comedic sketches and parodies, like Smosh and nigahiga. All video are edited by me, on either Sony Vegas Pro or Corel Video Studio Pro, I used to use Windows Movie Maker but when editing it kept on freezing and lagging, when editing I would do a bit everyday and usually it takes about a week or so if the video is short and don't have many shots. The camcorder used is a Panasonic HDD camcorder w/ 42x optic zooms. I usually get my ideas for a video and or script when in the shower, which may seem odd, but that's when I can easily think.

So far, this our most viewed video:

And this is our most recent:

when making decisions i would think about the outcome of my decision, and the pros and cons of it. Also, i would also ask others for advise to help aid in my decision making if the decision is complicated, since i don't want to regret my choice later on.

A decision i recently made was to get this track fixed gear bike online or not, and I had asked my cousins for advise about it, and in the end I bought it with no annoying regrets, except that it cost over $260
